Growing Games CPH: The financial road from idea to reality

Growing Games is the place where new leaders of game companies meet each other, experienced peers, experts, and advisors, to talk business.

The financial road from idea to reality. Do not make the mistakes to place other business goals ahead of your company's cash flow.

At Growing Games, Copenhagen, in November, we'll be focusing on how you control your finances before your finances end up controlling you.

It is important to spend time building your product and generating attention, but if you don't have money, you won’t be around long enough to worry about those other things. To create a positive cash flow, it's downright vital to your company. Positive cash flow is a situation where the cash inflows during a period are higher than the cash outflows during the same period.

When:  November 18, from 10.00 -16.00.
Where: Interactive Denmark, Bernhard Bangs Allé 25, Frederiksberg.

Registration from 9.30, where we will serve coffee and refreshments. The program starts at 10 sharp.

Martin Walfisz of Nordisk Film Games, Gamecity Malmö and Spelplan (Dataspelsbranschen), the Association of Swedish Game Developers, will join us for a talk about investments in games, and why the swedish games companies can attract huge investment sums, while our danish developers are lacking behind. Besides his work for the Swedish Games Industry, Martin has more than 20 years experience starting and growing companies from 0 to 100+ employees. Bring your questions for Martin!

Michael Rud Jakobsen is the Creative Director and CEO at Playwood Project, currently developing WARTILE. Michael has many years of experience as Lead Game Designer and Game Designer for IO-Interactive, and through his new company, Playwood Project, has gained a lot of experience with investors and crowdfunding.

Alfred Nguyen, CEO at Throughline Games, has tried it all: Self-financing, New Danish Screen subsidiary, venture capital and have recently signed a publishing deal with Square-Enix. Alfred will try to walk us though, how he managed to find a "through-line" in the companys finances.

Chris Charla, Director of ID@Xbox at Microsoft, will join us for this Growing Games. ID@XBox is Microsoft's independent developer self-publishing program for Xbox One. Since the program launched, more than 200 games have shipped, including multiple million sellers.

Stay tuned as we will update the program with further speakers and more details.
